Teyana Taylor has been found in contempt of court over issues tied to her divorce judgment with ex-Iman Shumpert.

The exes both attended a hearing on July 25 over their fight on who violated their 2024 divorce judgment, Us Weekly reports. The judge sided with Shumpert that Taylor violated the terms of their divorce agreement — which included that they wouldn’t disclose any information about the judgment —when she posted an Instagram video in March discussing the divorce.

The court ordered Taylor, 34, to pay Shumpert’s lawyer $70,000 for legal fees, and denied her request for Shumpert, 35, to pay for her legal fees.

When he filed a motion for contempt of court against Taylor, Shumpert requested a $1,000 fine and 20-day jail sentence.

Per the order, the court denied Taylor’s request to find Shumpert in contempt. The judge said she had failed to “present sufficient evidence” to support her allegation that the former NBA star leaked information regarding their divorce judgment to the press. The judge also denied her request that her ex pay her legal bills..

“It appears Taylor and her counsel failed to engage in even a minimal amount of diligence to determine whether her claim of contempt had any factual support at all before the petition was filed,” the order reads.

“Leave me the hell alone please”

As Us Weekly exclusively reported, Taylor denied all of Shumpert’s allegations in court. She claimed she had tried to coparent with her ex but he “remains mad … for no apparent reason.”

In an alleged private message sent from Taylor to Shumpert, submitted into evidence, she wrote, “You’re so bitter and clearly can’t seem to get out of your emotions! This is draining!!! You keep throwing stones and hiding your hands! YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL VICTIM. Leave me the hell alone PLEASE!!!!”

The former couple were married from October 2016 to July 2024 when they finalized their divorce. They share two daughters—Iman“Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr. and Rue Rose Shumpert.
