Teyana Taylor To Make Hosting Debut On ‘Saturday Night Live’

Teyana Taylor is already booked and busy for 2026.

The One Battle After Another star is joining the latest batch of Saturday Night Live (SNL) hosts. Taylor will be one of many big names to help usher in the new season of the iconic sketch comedy show.

On Wednesday, Jan. 7, SNL shared the news of its latest lineup for season 51. Taylor, 35, hosting alongside musical guest Geese on Jan. 24. Also on the line up are Alexander Skarsgård and Finn Wolfhard.

Taylor’s latest gig with SNL isn’t her first time on the show. She previously appeared on the show with a guest appearance during a September 2018 performance by Kanye West.

Cardi B will also return as a musical guest on one of the first episodes of 2026.

Aside from hosting duties, the Harlem-native, who recently split from actor Aaron Pierre, received a best R&B album nomination for Escape Room ahead of the 2026 Grammys.

The nomination arrives have Taylor previously announced her retirement from music. At the time, she cited feeling “super under-appreciated as an artist.” So instead, she focused on building her acting resume, starring in the comedy sequel Coming 2 America (2021) and the powerful drama A Thousand and One (2023). Most recently she received critical acclaim for her performance in One Battle After Another starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

SNL announced it will make its midseason premiere on January 17.
