And our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space.”

Taylor also paid tribute to her children, who were watching at home.

“My babies — they’re upstairs watching. Y’all better be off them damn phones and watching me right now!”

Taylor also thanked directorThomas Anderson, who cast her in the role.

“Thank you for your vision, your trust and your brilliance. My gratitude is endless. I love you, we love you, and thank you so much for holding space for me and our entire cast.”

As WBLS reported, Taylor was blown away by her Golden Globes nomination.

Taylor said her team told her about the nomination after watching a delayed version of the nominations. She was totally surprised.

“I said, ‘Wait, what?’ It was so cute how it happened and how I found out,” Taylor said.

Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser for the second consecutive year, the ceremony was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. “

Taylor described her nomination as “kind of cute.”

“It’s crazy cause the night before, I had gotten my feet and nails done.  I was falling asleep on my couch, and I remember, like, you know, ‘I’m going to sleep through it,” Taylor said. “Maybe they just shake me, you know, if I got nominated…’ Out of all times, my body just wakes up.”

One Battle After Another led all film nominations with nine nominations. Sentimental Value and Sinners also received numerous nods.
