Fans will get another chance to see Whitney Houston on the big screen one more time.
The Bodyguard is set to come back to theaters to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary. The movie will play on Sunday, November 6th, and Wednesday, November 9th. Kymberli Frueh, SVP of Programming and Content Acquisitions for Trafalgar Releasing, said in a statement about the movie and the songs, “The Bodyguard’s story and songs are indelibly etched on the hearts of movie and music fans all around the globe.”
She continued, “We are pleased to partner with Warner Bros. to bring this anniversary celebration to fans.” This announcement comes after we reported that the trailer for the late singer’s biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody was released starring Naomi Ackie as Whitney Houston.
The tickets to see this film will go on sale on Wednesday Sept. 28th at 10 am.
In the movie, Houston plays megastar, Rachel Marron, who is a target by one of her fans and is protected by former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer, played by Kevin Costner. The two would end up falling in love throughout the process.
Will you go see this movie again once it comes to theaters?
