The identity of the female staffer that Ime Udoka allegedly had an affair with has been revealed.
According to reports, the woman is 34-year-old Kathleen Nimmo Lynch, a married mother of three children. Although the Celtics have not officially released the woman’s identity, her name and photo were leaked online.
Lynch worked as a team liaison which included setting up travel arrangements for the family members of the Celtics for the home and away games. It has also been reported that Lynch has been linked with Danny Ainge, the team’s former executive director of basketball operations.
According to a source close to Ainge, he learned that the Celtics were launching an investigation into Udoka’s relationship with Lynch but didn’t interfere with the investigation or the decision to suspend the coach for the 2022-23 NBA season.
A spokesperson for Lynch revealed that she has been “left devasted and afraid to show her face publicly.” Ainge’s daughter, Taylor who is also a close friend of Lynch spoke on the situation and said,
“These are human beings involved that have families and are dealing with a lot of consequences themselves, and they don’t people and Twitter and the news media making it worse. There’s a reason that people aren’t discussing this. It’s been investigated and it’s over. The Celtics are doing what they have to do.”
She added, “Ultimately when you run a corporation and you have rules, your hands are tied. It is what it is. I know everyone wants a saucy story, but it’s really just a series of unfortunate events.”
Nia Long and Ime Udoka have been engaged for seven years and together for 12. They share one son together.
