Tiger Woods Black card is revoked – again – after he defended his relationship with Donald Trump during a post-round press conference at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, N.J.
The golf champ hit the mic after the Northern Trust Open and was asked about his relationship with 45 after addressing his improvement off the tee. Why? Because he went golfing with Trump after he won the 2016 election. Then, they two were on the green again after Thanksgiving last year.
As a Black man, people want to know why he continues a “friendship” with someone who has a blatant disdain for Black people.
“Well, I’ve known Donald for a number of years,” Woods said during a post-round interview at Ridgewood Country Club. “We’ve played golf together. We’ve had dinner together. I’ve known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency.”
When he was pushed to answer questions about race relations, Tiger said, “Well, he’s the president of the United States. You have to respect the office. No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office.”
Woods was asked if he had anything more to say about Trump’s actions towards people of color, and he answered in exactly 10 words: “No. I just finished 72 holes and am really hungry.”
