Mathew Knowles, father to Beyoncé and Solange has revealed that he has breast cancer.
During an interview on ‘Good Morning America,’ Matthew details his fight with breast cancer, and how his daughters took the news.
He stated, “The first calls I made were to my kids, and my former wife, Tina. My wife, Gena, already knew; she went with me to the exam.”
Tina and Mathews marriage ended in 2011. When she was asked about his diagnosis, she mentioned that she has high hopes for him. “The first calls I made were to my kids, and my former wife, Tina. My wife, Gena, already knew; she went with me to the exam.”
Mathew shares this message, “You can survive this, but it has to be early detection.”
