The legacy of Tina Turner is being celebrated in a new comic book.
According to reports, TidalWave Comics released the book on November 24, and it takes a look back on her life and legacy. This release came as a celebration two days before what would have been her 84th birthday.
The comic book is titled, “Tribute: Tina Turner,” and it was written by Michael Frizell. The author explores Turner’s musical and artistic journey, her marriage to the late Ike Turner, and having a successful career after her divorce.
Darren G. Davis, TidalWave’s publisher, talked about the new book. “The Tribute comic book series is dedicated to preserving the legacies of beloved entertainers who have left us,” he said. “It serves as a heartfelt tribute to those individuals who have left an indelible mark on our world.” This new book is a part of a tribute series that includes tributes to icons such as Whitney Houston and Prince.
The books are available for purchase online. Tina Turner passed away at the age of 83 after a long battle with an illness in her Switzerland home.
