Tisha Campbell and Lenny Kravitz apparently have some romantic history.
Campbell recently stopped by Sherri, where host Sherri Shepherd casually dropped a bomb that sent the audience into a frenzy.
“I didn’t know you once dated Lenny Kravitz,” Shepherd said.
Campbell, 57, quickly set the record while laughing.
“We were kids,” she explained. “We were like teenagers when we dated. Literal teenagers. Sixteen-years-old.”
As the audience gasped at the revelation, Campbell jokingly pleaded her case.
“This is why I don’t tell people,” she said with a smile. “I had street cred before y’all found that out. Don’t play me.”
While the moment felt brand new to many viewers, this isn’t the first time Tisha Campbell has spoken about Kravitz. During a 2023 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she revealed that the rock icon was actually her first boyfriend. Kravitz later confirmed their young romance in his 2020 memoir, Let Love Rule, recalling how they met at an audition.
“Tisha had these hazel eyes I couldn’t stop staring at,” he wrote. “She also had the most beautiful singing voice and the sweetest personality.”
Marriage, Divorce & Current Dating Life
Campbell has also been open about her dating life beyond her teen years. The actress, who was married to actor Duane Martin from 1996 to 2020, recently admitted she never really dated as an adult.
“I went from boyfriends straight into marriage,” she told 99.7 NOW. “I never went on a proper date.”
Campbell joked that friends say people aren’t interested in dating her. Instead, they want Gina, her iconic Martin character.
“They don’t want to get to know me for me,” she said.
