Three iconic girl groups are hitting the road together for the first time.
TLC and Salt-N-Pepa are co-headlining the “It’s Iconic” North American tour, joined by special guests En-Vogue.
The Live Nation-produced run marks the first time the three influential female groups will share the stage together, celebrating decades of music that helped define a generation.
TLC is known for ‘90s hits like “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls” and “Creep.” Salt-N-Pepa is a pioneering hip-hop group behind songs like “Push It” and “Shoop.” En Vogue, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, features songs like “Free Your Mind,” “Don’t Let Go (Love),” “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” and the Salt-N-Pepa collaboration “Whatta Man.”
The tour opens on Aug. 15 in Franklin, Tenn., and runs through Oct. 11 in Concord, Calif. The 33-city trek will stop a major cities including Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, Cinncinati, Raleigh and Las Vegas.
“It’s going to be so much for them,” Salt-N-Pepa’s Sandra “Pepa” Denton said in a video interview with her tourmates released on Monday, March 23. “Overwhelming almost. All the music that’s going to be played? It’s like, ‘Oh my God! Oh my God! OH MY GOD!’ “
“This show is going to be crazy,” added Cheryl “Salt” James. “I feel like this is going to be the most fun touring experience I’ve ever had. And I feel like we’re going to feel the queens in the building, you know what I mean? Like, we earned this seat!”
