TLC and Shaggy are joining forces to go on tour this summer and they will be joined by some special guests.
According to reports, the “Hot Summer Nights 2023 Tour” is set to start in Alabama on June 1st and will stop in cities such as New York, California, Miami, and more. This tour comes after the group, performed at the Hollywood Bowl with Boyz II Men.
During the same show, T-Boz opened up about writing their hit song “Unpretty.” “This next song is near and dear to my heart because I wrote it from my heart,” she said. “My boyfriend then made me feel like I wasn’t good enough.”
She continued, “With social media now, the song still rings true today.” T-Boz goes on to say that she ended up leaving that boyfriend.
Shaggy has been keeping busy as well. He has given fans a multitude of songs in his chart-topping hits, “It Wasn’t Me,” and “Angel.” During an interview, the dancehall artist spoke about the importance of breaking through as a dancehall artist.
“I want the new generation to stream better than me because it boosts the genre and gives it a seat at the table. It gives us some sort of presence where corporate wants to f*** with us,” he said. “It helps the culture with tourism. It’s a big part of our economy. When you beat me, that’s when we’re forced to be reckoned with.”
Ticket sales for this concert will begin on Tuesday (March 14th) for Citi card members at 10 a.m. General ticket sales will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. on LiveNation.com. Will be seeing TLC and Shaggy on this tour?
