Toni Braxton is heading to Las Vegas but she’s not going alone.
The “Un-break My Heart” singer is set to co-headline a residency with Cedric The Entertainer called “Love & Laughter.” The duo made the announcement on social media, with Braxton writing, “Excited to announce I’m headed BACK to Vegas with one of the Original Kings of Comedy, @cedrictheentertainer!”
She continued, “Get ready for “LOVE & LAUGHTER” VEGAS RESIDENCY at the @cosmpolitan_lv beginning 4/27. Tickets go on sale this Friday 2/2 at 10AM.”
The comedian added, “LOVE & LAUGHTER LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY WITH NONE OTHER THAN @tonibraxton!! We’ve put something special together for you and it all goes down at @cosmopolitan_lv starting April 27th. Tickets on sale this Friday 2/2 at 10am! “I’ll Holla.”
According to the press release, the show will have “timeless hits from Toni’s vast discography, amplified by her mesmerizing voice, coupled with the kind of brilliant hilarity only a legend like Cedric can provide. Throughout the show, the two icons will captivate the crowd through music, jokes and storytelling- creating the ideal feel-good evening.”
Both Toni and Cedric released a joint-statement about how the came together for the concert series, “Comedy and song have been at the heart of the human communal experience since the beginning of time, and we are thrilled to join on stage to bring that experience to the Cosmopolitan…We could all use a little more love and laughter in our lives.”
For now, the show has only 7 dates between April -July and this will be Braxton’s second residency in Las Vegas. From 2006-2008, she performed at The Showroom at the Flamingo as part of her concert series “Revealed.” However, this is Cedric The Entertainer’s first time doing a residency.
