Tracee Ellis Ross is continuing to make her mark in the entertainment industry.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Golden Globe winner has signed a first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios. She’ll work on scripted projects and an overall unscripted deal at the studio.
Per the deal, Ross and her Joy Mill Entertainment “will develop comedy, drama, and animated scripted series and unscripted and reality formats.” Under the agreement, Ross will serve as an executive producer. Adriana Ambriz is head of development for Joy Mill.
Hannah Pillemer and Allison Wallach, heads of scripted and unscripted at Fox Entertainment Studios, released a joint statement about the deal.
Ross released a statement and shared her excitement about the deal.
“Joining the Fox Entertainment Studios family marks an exciting next chapter for Joy Mill Entertainment. At Joy Mill, our focus is on creating and producing entertaining, culture-bending stories centered around identity and joy. From our earliest conversations with Fox, it was clear that they shared the same vision. I’m excited to collaborate with Hannah, Allison, Fernando Szew, Tomii Crump, and their incredible teams as we continue to expand our platform.”

Most recently, Ross appeared in Edward Burns’ The Family McMullen. She also made an appearance in an episode of Netflix’s Black Mirror and American Fiction.
Ross is the host and executive producer of Solo Traveling With Tracee Ellis Ross, airing on the Roku Channel. The popular series has been renewed for a second season.
