Recently, Deion Sanders’ longtime partner Tracey Edmonds provided information regarding the state of his health after he received surgery to eliminate blood clots in his leg.
According to reports, Sanders undertook surgery on his left leg on Friday, June 23rd, and was expected to be finished with the procedure by Sunday, June 25th. Sanders’ fans expressed their wishes for a healthy recovery which were positively acknowledged by Edmonds in an Instagram post on Friday.
The post stated, “We declare… God has #CoachPrime @deionsanders covered today! Thank you so much, Fam, for all your prayers!!”
Sanders himself then posted an Instagram video stating his surgery on his left thigh and knee was successful and is additionally waiting on another blood clot procedure for his right leg.
His doctor feared his left foot would be amputated because of poor circulation. Nevertheless, Sanders denied the offer and emphasized his concern about making it through the surgery.
“There is no talk of amputation. There’s no talk of any of that whatsoever.” Sanders declared that the procedure was to “get those clots so I can have proper blood flow to the leg so they can fix the toes. That’s what’s going on.”
