Twin brothers from Georgia have mysteriously died and their family wants answers.
According to reports, the twins, Qaadir and Nazzir Lewis, 19, were set to head to Boston to meet their friends, however, they missed their 7 am flight, the family said. It was around 11 am that police informed the family that the boys were found dead on the top of Bell Mountain in Hiawasee, GA.
The Georgia Bureua of Investigation revealed that the boys were shot to death and that their plane tickets were still in their wallets. The family is questioning how did they end up in that area since they were unfamiliar with the area.
“How did they end up out in the mountains? They don’t hike out there, they’ve never been out there. They don’t know anything about Hiawassee, Georgia. They never even heard of Bell Mountain, so how did they end up right there?”
The GBI ruled their deaths a murder-suicide, however the autopsy results are still pending. The family also stated that the twins were inseparable and never had any conflicts with each other. “They’re very protective of each other. They love each other,” their uncle, Rahim Brawner said. “They’re inseparable. I couldn’t imagine them hurting each other because I’ve never seen them get into a fistfight before.”
The investigation is still ongoing, but the family has setup a GoFundMe in supports of organizing a memorial for the twins. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and their loved ones.
