The legacy of The Notorious B.I.G. is about to take on a new flavor.

The legendary rapper’s daughter, T’yanna Wallace, is bringing hip-hop history into the world of hospitality with Big Poppas Steakhouse, a restaurant set to open in New York City this fall in honor of her legendary father.
Wallace recently hosted an intimate private tasting event in Midtown Manhattan, giving close friends, family, and cultural tastemakers a preview of the menu inspired by Biggie’s larger-than-life legacy. The gathering was intentionally held around March 9, the anniversary of the Brooklyn icon’s untimely passing.
Before his death in 1997, The Notorious B.I.G. often spoke about opening a restaurant of his own. Now, nearly three decades later, his daughter is bringing that dream to life.
The event featured a carefully curated team of creatives including Chef Harley, celebrity event curator Alyi V of The Alyi V Experience, and publicist Chasity Cox. Bartender Chyna crafted specialty cocktails for the evening as guests sampled dishes inspired by both flavor and hip-hop culture.
Menu highlights included playful nods to Biggie’s catalog, like the “Sky’s the Limit” Tuna Tartare, “Spread Love” Burrata Salad, and the Mo Money Mo Problems Lobster Tails. Other standout dishes included the Big Poppa Burger, Brooklyn Strip Steak, Curry Chicken, Escovitch Snapper, and Lamb Chops, alongside sides like Platinum Mac & Cheese, garlic truffle fries, and GG’s Rice & Peas.
Guests included Lil’ Kim, Lil’ Cease, members of Junior M.A.F.I.A., media personalities, Kazeem Famuyide, Rory Farrell, and Biggie’s son CJ Wallace.
More than just a restaurant, Big Poppas Steakhouse will celebrate family, storytelling, and the enduring cultural impact of one of hip-hop’s greatest voices
