After issuing an apology for her comments about the holocaust, Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended from The View.
The news of Goldberg’s suspension came out on Tuesday evening by ABC News President Kim Godwin.
“Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for her wrong and hurtful comments,” Godwin wrote in a statement. “While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments.”
Here’s the full note that ABC News president Kim Godwin sent staffers tonight about @WhoopiGoldberg. She said such decisions “are never easy, but necessary.”
