Ever since it was announced that Usher will be headlining the 2024 Super bowl, fans can’t seem to wait until the big day. Now Usher may have hinted that he could be bringing out a special guest.
While speaking with Extra, he discussed some details of the performance as well as the possibility of taking the stage with artists fans know and love.
“I do want to play the songs that people obviously recognize and the ones that I celebrate, I’ve been able to laugh, I have been able to cry, I have been vulnerable, I’ve been telling and honest,” Usher told the outlet. “I’ve also collaborated with a lot of people in the process, so… there’s a celebration there.”
Usher’s list of artists he has worked with throughout his career is extensive. He’s collaborated on projects with artists like Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Chris Brown, Diddy, Alicia Keys and the list goes on.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Usher expressed how taken aback he was when he got the opportunity to do the Super Bowl.
“When I got the call, I was like, ‘Man, I’ve been working really hard my entire career,” he said. “The preparation didn’t start within the last two years of performing in Las Vegas. It really started 30 years ago, and my commitment to it and the journey that I’ve taken musically is why I think I’m given that moment.”
The Super Bowl LVIII half-time performance will take place on Feb. 11, 2024 in Paradise, NV.
