Fans were not happy with Usher during his recent concert in Abu Dhabi.
According to reports, fans were expecting Usher to do his original routine where he feeds cherries to one lucky attendee, however the plans didn’t go as planned.
While performing at Club Social in Etihad Park on Yas Island, the singer apologized for not doing the cherry routine assuming that it was due to the country’s strict decency laws.
“I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen. No, I will not be giving any cherries out tonight,” Usher said. “But I have nothing but love for you. I give you my heart in exchange for the cherries. I give you my love in exchange for the cherries tonight.”
The country’s strict decency law prohibits “acts that violate public morality and can be punished with fines and even imprisonment for repeat offenders.”
Usher’s infamous Cherry stunt could’ve been bad if he went through with the performance, but we are glad that he chose not to move forward with it.
