Victoria Monét To Release Children’s Book, ‘Everywhere You Are’

Victoria Monét, known for being a writing gem for herself and many artists, is now penning a new children’s book, Everywhere You Are.

The grammy-winning R&B star made the announcement on Wednesday (Oct 16). In the post, Monet explained that she wrote the book in honor of “hard working parents wanting to offer a consoling reminder to their children that even when a loved one isn’t right next to us,” the love is still close.

Printed in both English and Spanish with illustrations by Alea Marley, the book draws inspiration from Monét’s own experiences as a touring artist and mother. The book is set to release June 24, 2025.

“This book means so much to me!”

“This book means so much to me! I love many types of writing, from poetry to music and eventually scripts, and it has always been a special dream of mine to write children’s books,” Monét said in a statement.

“It brings so much joy to know that families will share moments of reflection, understanding, and quality time while reading this book for generations to come! I’m passionate about the subject of the book and explaining it in a way that is digestible for a child. I can’t wait to share it.”

Monét shares a 3-year-old daughter, Hazel, with John Gaines, her former boyfriend she split from nearly a year ago. She and Gaines “still completely adore and respect each other” but “are not a couple anymore,” they wrote, assuring fans “no infidelity, toxic behavior nor drama” took place between them.

Monét shared with People that reading drafts of the book to Hazel, gave her peace knowing she will “carry mommy with her wherever she goes.”

Monét walked the red carpet with Gaines and Hazel at the 66th annual Grammy Awards in February, where she won Best New Artist, Best R&B Album, and Best Engineered Album, Non Classical following the success of her debut album, “Jaguar II.” The 11-track LP features Monét’s breakout single “On My Mama,” which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.

Ahead of the awards ceremony, her daughter made history as the youngest person nominated for an award at age two; her vocals can be heard on Jaguar II’s “Hollywood.”
