Can’t you see? We can’t stop loving him!

R&B’s best-kept secret, KEM, will be performing live at this year’s WBLS Home for The Holidays, on December 12th, 2019.

KEM, whose real name is Kim Owens, is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. We fell in love with him after the release of his debut album, KEMISTRY, which had many hits, including the single “Love Calls,” which reached No. 1 on Urban Adult Contemporary charts. Before KEM captured our hearts with his soulful and sultry sound, he was playing the piano at his grandfather’s church as a young boy.

Although KEM’s music has stolen our hearts over the years, to get to this point was no easy ride as explained in this excerpt from his bio. “Throughout his journey to sobriety, KEM continued to write his music. It was on February 28, 2002, KEM independently released his first CD, KEMISTRY, but it wasn’t an overnight success. Driven then more than ever, the artist sold more than 15,000 units, literally out of the trunk of his car. The success landed him a meeting with Motown Records.”

Take a look at some of KEM’s timeless classics below.
