The month of October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It’s a reminder to honor the loved ones who’ve lost their lives to the hands of a person they once loved. Why, because every nine seconds in the U.S. a woman is beaten or assaulted. It will take a collective effort to end this violence.
That’s why WBLS host, Deja Vu, wants domestic abuse survivors to know that they aren’t alone. If someone’s life is in danger, they can call The National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. Safety is their priority and chats are completely confidential.
