It’s not quite over yet for Florida Governor candidates. Democrat Andrew Gillum followed close behind Republican Ron DeSantis by less than 39,000 votes, or 0.47 percentage points. If the margin is below 0.5 percent, an automatic recount is triggered.

If you remember, Andrew Gillum conceded the race, as the results showed that he was too far behind DeSantis. As of this morning (Thursday, November 8th) DeSantis was in the lead with over 40,000 votes out of over 8 million. Florida requires an automatic machine recount if the votes are less than half a percentage point.

It’s not over yet as thousand of ballots remain uncounted.
