It’s no for Lebron James!
The U.S. Patent Office denied James request to trademark “Taco Tuesday” according to sources. It was determined that the phrase was a “commonplace term.”
“The applied-for mark is a commonplace term, message, or expression widely used by a variety of sources that merely conveys an ordinary, familiar, well-recognized concept or sentiment message,” the U.S. Patent Office said.

James has been posting videos on Instagram with his family and friends enjoying tacos for dinner for “Taco Tuesday.” His spokesperson says James filed the application to ensure that he would not be sued for using it.
He also wanted to monetize his social media videos featuring the phrase.
