Wesley Snipes shares his thoughts on breaking two Guinness World Records after appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine.
The actor made an appearance as his character Blade in the movie and became the longest-running Marvel live-action star beating out Hugh Jackman. In the film, Jackman reprised his role as Wolverine, a role he last played in 2017, in the film Logan.
Snipes’ second Guinness record was for the longest gap between character appearances in Marvel films. He played the antihero in Blade: Trinity. The film will be celebrating it’s 20 anniversary on December 8 2024, which stars Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds as Hannibal King.
Wesley Snipes went on social media to share his thoughts on the honor. “Whuuuut?! Really? Do I get a certificate too?” he wrote. “Lordy, Lordy, Lordy… Thank you @GWR, I’m your fan!”

Reynolds would go on to comment under the post and said, “There is no Fox MArvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market. He ‘s Marvel Daddy. Please retweet for a Logan-like send off. #DeadpoolAndWolverine.”
Although he reprised his Blade character, this may be his last time doing so. The character is set to be played by Mahershala Ali in the revival.
Snipes also shared how he ended up in the movie and revealed that Reynolds called him to ask if he can reprise the role.
