Whoopi Goldberg says Donald Trump is not welcome to “The View.”
During Thursday’s episode, the host said that welcoming back the presidential nominee would not be the best thing for the show’s audience. “Because it would be nothing but, ‘And you’re a bonehead. And you’re a bonehead.’ And it’s hard- ‘What do you think about this?’ and then we start talking about his toenails,” Goldberg said to guest Hasan Minhaj.
The EGOT winner’s comments come after Trump made some nasty remarks about the show and its hosts by calling them “dumb women” and “degenerates.” Trump also claimed that the daytime talk show “doesn’t do very well,” although the show has high ratings.
Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines also agreed with Goldberg about not having Trump back on the show. “If he can’t handle debating one woman, how would he handle four?, Haines said.
