Willow Smith is officially Grammy nominated!
The 24 year old became a first time nominee for Best Arrangement, Instrument, and Vocals for ‘Big Feelings’ from her most recent album Empathogen.
Willow took to Instagram to share her thoughts about her nominations and revealed that she was thrilled to learn the news about the 2025 Grammys. “I am having big feelings,” she shared on Instagram, sharing her appreciation for her team. “BIG GRATITUDE TO THESE DIVINE DUDES FOR NURTURING MY VISION WITH LOVE,” she wrote.
Will Smith, known for his action-packed courageous roles, found himself swelling in pride to share the news about Willow. He took to his Instagram to congratulate the Grammy nominee with a carousel of posts including a video beside his daughter’s poster, beating the trumpets while gasping in absolute honor with his hands held across the mouth.
Empathogen was released in May and became a number one hit on the Billboard contemporary jazz albums chart.
In an interview with Dazed, Willow spoke candidly about making the album from a place of lightness and freedom. “I was deeply heartbroken,” she said about her mental state at the time. “I was getting blackout drunk almost every session for that album, and I was just in a bad spot. I was in a bad place.”
Willow launched her music career in 2014 with her breakout song “Whip My Hair.”She later released a series of hip hop singles including “21st Century Girl” and a collab with Nicki Minaj, “Fireball”
Will Smith has won multiple Grammys, while her brother Jaden Smith was nominated for his work on Justin Bieber’s album ‘Justice.’ In recent years Willow has expressed her love and passion for music and revealed her dream collaborations.
