Will Smith has landed a new role!
The actor will be producing the movie version of Oscar-Award-winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s book “Brilliance,” under his production company Westbrook Studios along with Ryan Shimazaki and Jon Mone.
Just like the book, the movie will focus on a federal agent named Nick Cooper, who works for the Department of Analysis and Response, whose job is to keep track of the “Brilliants” or 1% of the non-neurotypical people.
However, Cooper along with his daughter also considered a part of that 1%. He has the ability to see the future and tries to use it to put an end to a civil war. The film will be Chinoy’s directorial debut.
This will be the first time that Smith will be involved in something since slapping Chris Rock during the Oscars in March.
