Will Smith Responds To Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Memoir ‘Worthy’

Will Smith breaks his silence about Jada-Pinkett Smith’s memoir Worthy. 

During her appearance on Jay Shetty’s podcast “On Purpose with Jay Shetty ”, she was given a special note from her husband.  “I applaud and honor you. If I had read this book 30 years ago, I definitely would’ve hugged you more,” the note said as Shetty read it for Jada. 

It continued, ““I’ll start now. Welcome to the Authors Club. I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and take a rest.” Jada responded to the note and said, “ “He know I can’t have no Merlot. That’s beautiful. That’s why I can’t divorce that joker.”

In the teaser for the podcast, Jada speaks on the life journey she has been on, her relationship and marriage to Will, aftering revealing that they have been separated since 2016, the infamous Oscar slap, and the relationship she had with her late father, Robsol Pinkett Jr.

She said that when she was seven years old her father told her, “I can’t be your father,” she went on to say that she thought to herself, “Okay, what do I do with this?”  The “Set It Off” actress spoke on the thought of suicide and said, “The only way out of the pain was death.”

“You think in your mind you’ve tried, everything’s all like, God, I can’t do this. I can’t keep doing this,” she said.
