Will Smith gets candid about his life in a new trailer about his upcoming docuseries.
In his new docuseries, Smith was very transparent about issues he faced with his mental health and his physical fitness. The award-winning rapper/actor talked about these issues in his new trailer for his YouTube series, Will Smith: The Best Shape of My Life.
The trailer shows him talking about he is looked at in the public eye, about life during the pandemic, and revealed that even thoughts about suicide.
“Now I’m about to show the world how little I know about myself,” Smith said. “What you’ve come to understand as Will Smith – the alien-annihilating MC, bigger-than-life movie star- is largely a construction. A carefully crafted and honed character designed to protect myself. To hide myself from the world.”
The docuseries follows Smith’s attempt to lose 20 pounds in 20 weeks, the weight that he gained during the pandemic.
“This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing through the pantry. I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins,” Smith wrote on Instagram back in May.
The first two episodes of the docuseries will premiere on YouTube on November 8th.
