The woman who has been identified as the prime suspect after allegedly shooting at Rihanna’s home, has been charged with attempted murder.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, the prime suspect in the crime, is being held in custody, with bail set at $10.2 million.

Using an AR-15 style rifle, Ortiz allegedly fired off “approximately 10 shots.”

Following the gunfire, the suspect fled the scene, prompting a brief search by law enforcement. Ortiz was apprehended about 30 minutes later at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping center, approximately eight miles from the singer’s home.

The dispatch audio revealed that officials are heard saying the suspect’s Tesla was followed by an LAPD helicopter into a mall parking garage. Eventually, she was “pulled over and detained by patrol units.”The suspect was taken into custody without further incident, and the weapon used in the attack was recovered.  At the time, Ortiz’s name was withheld from the public.

As the investigation continued, the authorities are currently looking into Ortiz’s social media history, which reportedly includes erratic posts directed at Rihanna and other celebrities, though a definitive motive has not yet been confirmed by the LAPD.

RIHANNA WAS NOT HARMED DURING THE SHOOTING

While sources indicate that Rihanna was inside the home at the time of the shooting, she was reportedly unharmed.

The “Distrubia” home is located in the larger Beverly Crest area, which is approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

The New York Times reported that this was not the first time that Rijanna’s home had been attacked by assailants. Her mansion in the Hollywood Hills was broken into twice in 2018.

Rihanna and A$AP share three children: 3-year-old RZA Athleston, 2-year-old Riot Rose, and Rocki Irish Mayers, who is 5 months old. According to PEOPLE, Rihanna reportedly purchased the home in December 2020.
