She is the CEO of hair barrettes Gabby Bows and Goodwin just recently partnered with Target. The 12-year-old entrepreneur will be selling Gabby Brows in 74 Target stores in the US.
Goodwin launched Gabby Bows at the age of 7 with her mother by her side. According to BecauseOfThemWeCan.com,
The 12-year-old created the first patented double-face, double-snap barrette. She began selling her product, eventually expanding the business to include hair care products, books and the Entrepreneurship Academy which allowed other kids and their moms to micro franchise GaBBy Bows.
Goodwin was named Black Enterprise’s “2018 Teenpreneur of the Year” and has been recognized by other media outlets for invention. In a recent interview, she says, “Everyone talks about how I’m so amazing. I want them to know that they can do similar things as me and know that anything is possible.”
