After waiting many years to see these two legendary R&B groups come together, it is finally happening! Xscape and SWV are officially co-headling “The Queens of R&B Tour” together.
The tour will hit 30 cities across the country this summer and it will have special guests including Mýa and 702. The news broke on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show, Sherri after a video of each group was seen in a makeshift therapy session with Mona Scott-Young.
The tour will begin on June 27 in Concord, California, and will hit stops such as Madison Square in New York and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. This isn’t the first time that fans had a glimpse of seeing the two groups together, preparing for a tour.
In 2023, they were on the Bravo series called SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B which focused on the groups’ attempt to go on tour together but ultimately faced internal conflicts as well as a debate on who was going to headline the tour.
Mona Scott-Young spoke about the tour and said, “I’m incredibly honored to be part of this HERstory-making moment in R&B music and to announce this tour during Women’s History Month makes it much more impactful. What started as a television series turned into something much greater and I’m proud to be producing this tour, alongside Live Nation, as Xscape and SWV, along with incredible talents 702, TOTAL, and MYA, embark on this journey together.”
Tickets for the tour will go on presale on Tuesday, March 26 for Citi members and general ticket sales will begin on March 29 at 10 am.
