This is truly horrific and sad. A two-year-old toddler was found beaten to death in a Brooklyn apartment.
According to reports, the toddler’s mother’s boyfriend, Latrell Lewis,23, fatally beat the child in his home on 68th Street near Avenue U. The two-year-old was unconscious and bruised, and police state that Lewis “had thrown the baby on the floor at least one time.”
The police also said that someone who was watching the child called 911 to report that the child was “injured and not feeling well,” around noon.
The toddler was rushed to a nearby hospital around 11:57 p.m. with multiple injuries to his head and stomach, unfortunately, the child was pronounced as a DOA. Lewis was arrested and is currently facing murder charges. He was not the child’s biological father and the police are investigating this crime as a homicide.
