A 10-year-old girl’s rapist is caught after she traveled from Ohio to Indiana to get an abortion.
According to reports, 27-year-old Gershon Fuentes was arrested earlier this week and confessed to the rape of the young girl.
Fuentes has been charged with the rape of a minor and faces life in prison and deportation. Court documents state that his bond has been set for $2 million and his initial hearing will take place sometime next week.
This case was highlighted by President Biden as he spoke on the dangers of ending this constitutional right for women.
“She was forced to have to travel out of state to Indiana to seek to terminate the pregnancy and maybe save her life,” Biden said.
He continued, “Ten years old, ten years old, raped, six weeks pregnant, already traumatized, was forced to travel to another state.”
This story began to get the attention of many after an Indianapolis doctor revealed that she had to do the procedure on a 10-year-old rape victim.
Due to Roe v. Wade being overturned, under no circumstances are abortions allowed in the state of Ohio around six weeks of pregnancy, including rape or incest.
