Aretha Franklin’s historic Detriot mansion has been sold for $300,000. Franklin’s house was built in 1927 and it was 5,600 square-foot brick home. Franklin purchased the house back in 1993 but almost lost it back in 2008 due to unpaid property taxes.

Franklin also has another house on the market for $800,000 in the suburban area of Detriot Bloomfield Township and this colonial-style house is 4,148 square feet. Sabrina Garrett-Owens, a personal representative of Franklin’s estate said “there are no other Detriot properties that were owned by the Queen of Soul”.

Aretha Franklin died at the age of 76 from pancreatic cancer in August.
