Ashanti is answering the question that everyone wants to hear about her and Nelly.
After a clip resurfaced online of her and Nelly dancing on stage together while performing, fans began to speculate the two are more than friends again.
While on “Watch What Happens Live!” with Andy Cohen, the “Foolish” singer responded to a fan’s question if she and Nelly will be like Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who ended up married many years after breaking up.
“Wow, Oh my gosh, I saw a lot of comments,” she said. “I mean my reaction was ‘wow, you know?’ It was a lot of comments and a lot of people wanting that.”
Ashanti added, “What I will say is we’re in a better place, you know? ‘Cause before it was like [anger]. You know, we’re cool now.”
She also revealed that she is cordial with her former beau. “Yeah! We had some conversations, you know? So it’s cool.”
