Usually, Beyoncé can do no wrong, especially in the eyes of the BeyHive. But when Bey decided to post a series of images supports Texas politician Beto O’Rourke, who was running for senate, last night, they questioned her decision not to speak up and use her voice to support the candidate earlier in the election.

Beyoncé uploaded a brief video of her rocking a custom made “Beto for Senate” fitted cap. The video’s accompanying caption reads, “I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice. We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right. We need you. We all need each other, because when we are truly united we are unstoppable. Sending you all love and positivity on this happy voting day! Every vote counts. Every race matters. Everywhere.”

While fans appreciated her efforts to endorse the Democratic hopeful, many were rather disappointed that she waited until the 11th hour – 2 hours before polls closed to be exact – to back O’Rourke.

One Instagram user named aladynamedjune said, “Why did you wait so long to endorse him tho?” while another user named emilyskrause said, “a queen would have used her power weeks, if not months ago.”

However, in the midst of disappointment, one user named hopefulness_02.17 came to Bey’s defense and said, “Where does it say vote for Beto? Stop blaming artists for the miseducation and permeating racism in our country. Texas elected Cruz not because Bey didn’t post on time but because 70{cf74dfb42c160c86fab84d92af628b92d0859125321fa10dc87be72131d49b21} white Texas wanted to elect Cruz.”

It’s rare for anyone to come for Queen B, but yesterday (Nov. 6) fans didn’t feel the need to hold back. To makes things more odd, the BeyHive isn’t speaking out in her defense.
