The family fun day comes two weeks after a Beyoncè made history at this year’s Grammy Awards. Queen Bey broke the record for most wins of any female artist and most wins for any singer male or female in Grammys history with 28. During her acceptance speech, she expressed how honored and excited she is. She went on to say that it’s her job as an artist to reflect on the times.
“It has been such a difficult time, so I wanted to uplift, encourage, and celebrate all of the beautiful Black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world. This is so overwhelming. I’ve been working for my whole life, since nine years old, and I can’t believe this happened.”
The “Brownskin Girl” singer also thanked her children and congratulated Blue on winning a Grammy with her. “I’m so proud of you, and I’m so honored to be your mommy, all of your mommy’s. Y’all are my babies. And I’m so proud of y’all. I love you so much, my rock. Enjoy your night. Thank you.”
