With the sentencing date approaching for comedian Bill Cosby, his wife Camille is now speaking out. According to reports, she wants Cosby’s sexual assault case to be dismissed. She is accusing Judge Steve O’Neill of “withholding pertinent information. She says:
“Bill Cosby was not afforded an impartial judge and he did not receive a fair trial. Instead, my husband was forced to go to trial before a judge, Steven T. O’Neill, who had a bitter, longstanding feud with one of the key witnesses in the case, Bruce Castor, the former District Attorney for Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Mr. Castor testified under oath that when he was D.A. in 2006, he made a blinding decision that because the evidence was weak, Mr. Cosby would never be prosecuted in this case and that as a result of that decision, Mr. Cosby no longer had the right to remain silent and would be required to give a deposition in a civil lawsuit.”
Cosby, who is currently on house arrest since his conviction, fired his defense team. And hired a new team, who are now busy interviewing witnesses to prove Judge O’Neill failed to “disclose his feud with former D.A.”
Vanity Fair reports:
“The feud apparently had to do with an affair O’Neill allegedly had with a female attorney on the D.A.’s staff while separated from his wife in the late 90s. Cosby’s defense team claims that this conflict has had an effect on the current trial.”
