“A Love Letter to Africa,” Beyonce calls the soundtrack for Disney’s The Lion King.
Bey has released the video for the lead single “Spirit,” from the 14-song collection The Lion King: The Gift. Executive produced by the mega superstar, the full project will debut on July 19. The new video premiered as part of a one-hour primetime special on ABC titled, “The Lion King: Can You Feel The Love Tonight” with Robin Roberts.
In a recent interview with ABC News, Bey says:
“This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa. And I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it.”
