A spirited Brandy was all smiles when she stopped by WBLS’ studios to talk about her new single, “Love Again” with New York’s Sweetheart, Shaila.
Opening with her new collaboration with singer Daniel Caesar, Brandy told Shaila (and her 2 million listeners) that she’s focused on getting back to the music now that her stint on Star has come to an end. The R&B soulstress says she’s “so humbled by this record and how it’s touching people, whoever has listened to it.” She goes on to say her duet with Caesar isn’t the only new music they’re getting because she’s working on a new project with a list of must-hear tracks – but reiterates that “Love Again” helped her find love within herself again.
“[With] this song, I found love within myself. I know who I am. I have self-love, which is why I’m focusing on my dreams. [To] the brothers, no shade, but I got dreams.”
Although the girl who likes sitting up in her room is getting back to the studio, she’s excited to work on a biopic –featuring herself.
“I want to play myself. I think when people really get into my real story – the things that people don’t know – and me tell it and reenact it, it’s going to be something special.”
