Brandy is making her way back to the big screen as Cinderella!

According to reports, she will be in the upcoming Disney+ film The Pocketwatch, the latest installment to The Descendants franchise. This movie will follow the character by the name of Red who is described as “the whip-smart and rebellious teenage daughter of the Queens of Hearts and Chloe, “the perfectionist and athletic daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming.”

As the official overview of the film states, “Red must join forces with Chloe to travel back in time via the White Rabbit’s pocket watch, to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences.”

If you remember, Brandy played the role of Cinderella in the ABC TV movie Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. She starred alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Jason Alexander, Bernadette Peters, Victor Graber, Veanne Cox, Paolo Montalban, and late Natalie Desselle, late Whitney Houston.

The cast of Cinderella recently reunited for the film’s 25th anniversary. “I thought I was ugly, I turned out to be the first Black princess. That’s pretty mind-blowing,” Brandy said about the movie in the reunion special.
