Braxton Family To Return To WEtv With New Reality Series

WE tv has announced the return of the Braxton family after a three-year hiatus from the small screen. Now a quintet, Toni, Tamar, Tawanda, Trina, and Ms. Evelyn will reunite on the network to offer an inside scoop on what they’ve been up to as a unit and individually.

Braxton Family Values ran for seven seasons before ending in December 2020. Now, the five women will pick up where they left off, from the last few years to the family’s present endeavors.

The Braxtons lost their sister Traci to cancer in 2020, and in this season, they will show how they’ve navigated their grief and went into a new chapter.

From never-before-seen moments, to life during quarantine — the Braxtons are focused on balancing relationships, motherhood, careers, family and their sisterhood. Matriarch, Ms. Evelyn, also will show how she’s helped her daughters cope together, as they turn their “pain into promise” and use their “pain to power” themselves as a family.

It will feature Toni launching her Las Vegas residency, Love and Laughter, with Cedric the Entertainer at the Cosmopolitan. Towanda is balancing business and motherhood as she raises two teenagers, all while playing a major role in the life of her nephew, Kevin, who is navigating life without his mother, Traci. Trina is balancing her businesses and being a mother to her two sons navigating adulthood. And Tamar is expanding her music and media empire, balancing motherhood, and navigating how to juggle it all.

“Thank you all for sharing our lives. I hope that through each one of our experiences, you’ll grow with us,” Evelyn stated. “Inspiring you in your endeavors, and teaching you the importance of family, love, and experiencing life. Remember, we’re not perfect, we’re only human. Look at God.”

“It is not overstating things to say this is one of the most significant developments in the history of WEtv and a moment the fans have been waiting for since the final episode of Braxton Family Values aired on December 17, 2020,” said Brett Dismuke, Head of Content, WE tv and ALLBLK. “The Braxtons are one of the founding families of reality television and WEtv viewers were along for the ride through every moment of their original pioneering series, which spanned 148 unforgettable episodes. We are thrilled to welcome them back and once again be able to share these dynamic relationships and all the highs, lows, triumphs, setbacks and drama that fall in between.”

This all comes after Tamar Braxton reportedly called Wetv a “foolish network” in 2021 after the network severed ties with her when she opened up about alleged mistreatment.

The series is produced by Blink49 Studios and Datari Turner Productions with exec producers including Toni, Tamar, Trina, Towanda and Evelyn Braxton as well as Tara Long and Ri-Karlo Handy for Blink49, Datari Turner and Angela Molloy for WEtv.

As of now, an airdate for The Braxtons has yet to be revealed,
