The legendary Brazilian soccer star Pelé has been admitted to a hospital due to swelling all over his body.

According to reports, the 82-year-old is currently being treated for colon cancer, however, his daughter, Kely Nascimento has addressed her father’s recent hospitalization on social media.

“Lots of alarm in the media today concerning my dad’s health,” she wrote on her Instagram page. “He is in the hospital regulating medication. Some of my siblings are visiting Brazil. There is no emergency or new dire prediction. I will be there for New Year’s and promise to post some pictures. Really and truly, we appreciate the concern and love!”
