Cardi B Makes History as First Solo Female Artist to Win a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album [VIDEO]

Some people thought Cardi B was done here. Not only did the 26-year-old rapper and new mother of daughter Kulture, turn heads at the 2019 Grammy Awards with a Mugler Couture gown from 1995, Cardi also performed a kick-ass performance with her latest single “Money”.

The Bronx native is the first female to win best rap album as a solo artist since the birth of the category in 1996.

In 1997, Lauryn Hill is the first woman ever to win, but apart of the late hip-hop group, the Fugees. It’s granted to say this is only the beginning for Cardi, Okurrr!
