Who remembers when Common and Erykah Badu was a couple? Well, looks like that relationship left Common feeling heartbroken.
During an interview with Paper magazine, rapper/actor Common opens up about his past relationship with soulful singer, Erykah Badu. If you remember, the couple was a thing back in 2000 and the relationship lasted until 2002. “With Erykah Badu, that was my first love where you’re just open and floating. When we split, I was 27 or 28. I was in a haze, just going through the motions. It was hard to eat. It wasn’t her fault; the relationship just didn’t go forward.”
He continued, “I was in another breakup after that, that was heavy. That one honestly is what sent me to therapy.”
