COS SPOTLIGHT: Tamron Hall, The Journey From Broadcast Journalist to Executive Producer of Her Own Talk Show

Originally from Luling Texas, Tamron Hall is a proud graduate of Temple University where she studied Broadcast Journalism.https://www.instagram.com/p/CGTfjmNFUPj/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkSoon after graduation in 1992, she moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas and began her broadcasting career. She had a humble start as a general broadcast reporter for KBTX-TV and eventually found herself at the CBS owned television station, KTVT.https://www.instagram.com/p/B764mU_ltNi/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkShe made a name for herself at WFLD-TV in Chicago where she held several positions, including general assignment reporter, consumer reporter, and a host of a three-hour program from 1997 to 2007. She covered many breaking news stories that ultimately highlighted her abilities as a gifted broadcaster. In 2007, she landed a one-on-one interview with Barack Obama for MSNBC, just before he announced his run for the presidency. She was then given the opportunity to hold the position as a general reporter and fill in anchor for Keith Olbermann with MSNBC.
