Cuba Gooding Jr. Pleads Guilty To Forcible Touching In 2018

After more than 20 women have accused actor Cuba Gooding Jr. of forcible touching, kissing, and groping, the actor has pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge of forcibly touching one woman.

According to reports, Gooding has admitted to kissing the woman on her lips without her consent. He also admitted to two other incidents of making non-consensual contact in October 2018 and June 2019.

Because he has pled guilty, the actor has to continue his alcohol and behavior modification treatment for six months and cannot have any new arrests. If he abides by the terms of his plea deal, Gooding could face a sentence of time served but if not he can face up to one year in jail.

Gooding’s attorney, Peter Toumbekis stated, “Cuba Gooding Jr. entered into a re-pleader today whereby in six months his case will be disposed of with a violation, which is not a crime, resulting in no criminal record.”

This case first began in June 2019 when he was first charged. In October 2019, an additional charge was brought against him, and he pleaded not guilty to both.

Coleen Balbert, Assistant District Attorney, stated that Cuba Gooding Jr. has been in counseling since September 2019 to help with his behavior and to make sure that he doesn’t re-offend.
