Damar Hamlin Reportedly Showing Signs Of Improvement Since Cardiac Arrest Incident

This is amazing news! Damar Hamlin is reportedly showing signs of improvement after going into cardiac arrest on Monday night during a football game. 

According to reports, Hamlin is awake. His team, the Buffalo Bills, said in a statement, “While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress.” 

Ian Rapoport an NFL Network Insider tweeted that the football player, “opened his eyes last night and is responsive. Damar Hamlin has been treated in the UC Medical Center ICU since Monday. 

After being tackled on the field by Tee Higgins, Bengals’ wide receiver, Hamlin got up and then collapsed. He would end up being resuscitated before being taken off of the field. The Bills’ released a full statement about Hamlin. See what they wrote below. 

“Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours. While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact. His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress. We are grateful for the love and support we have received.”
